The attorneys of Mullavey, Prout, Grenley & Foe, LLP assist individuals of all ages in the creation of plans to manage their financial well-being when entering into a marriage or cohabitation situation.
A prenuptial agreement, antenuptial agreement, or premarital agreement, commonly abbreviated to prenup, is a contract entered into prior to marriage memorializing the allocation of the parties' assets upon death of either spouse or dissolution of the marriage. A post-nuptial agreement serves the same purposes, but is entered into by the parties after they are legally married.
Additionally, there is a growing trend in recent years for individuals of all ages and financial situations to enter into a cohabitation agreement prior to sharing a household with a significant other. Commonly these individuals reside together in a marital-like relationship, but for financial or personal reasons may not elect to marry prior to sharing a residence.
Our attorneys are knowledgeable, experienced, and pleased to assist in the drafting and reviewing all types of prenups, postnuptial, and cohabitation agreements.
